How to Add a Gene?

This guide explains how to visualize the spatial expression of a single gene on the customized map.

1. Add a Gene

Add a Gene

  • 1) Open Gene Drawer: Click the Gene button in the Top Bar to open the Gene Drawer.
  • 2) Find the Gene: Use the search bar, filter options, or column sorting to locate your desired gene in the list. In the example, we search for the gene "Apoe".
  • 3) Add to Map: Click the "+" button to the left of the gene name.

2. View Gene on the Map and Customize

Now, the expression of the gene is visualized on the central map. As shown in the example, the expression of "Apoe" is visualized as purple dots.

Add a Gene2

  • 1) Gene Layer: The gene appears as a layer in the Layer Controller. You can also manage the layer settings (layer name, color, opacity, and radius), mute or unmute the layer, remove the layer, and change the layer order.
  • 2) Gene Registered in the Gene Layer: In the Gene Drawer, the "+" button changes to a color chip. Click this color chip to change the visualization color.
