How to Highlight One Factor?¶
This guide explains how to highlight specific factors on the spatial map and UMAP, using Factor 0 as an example.

1. Check Interaction Support¶
Verify that the active factor layer supports interactive highlighting.
Supported Layer Types
Interactive features are available for vector-based layer types (e.g., RAW_PIXEL). Raster layers (RASTER) do not support individual factor highlighting.
2. Interaction Action¶
The available interaction modes are displayed in the Explore Factor section of the drawer.
In this example:
- Single-Click: Displays the marker gene table for the selected factor.
- Double-Click: Highlights the selected factor on both the UMAP and the spatial map.
3. Factor Chip¶
In this example:
- Double-click the Factor 0 chip in the Factor Grid to highlight it.
- Single-click the Factor 0 chip to view its marker genes.
Additional Actions
- Add to Selection: Click additional factor chips to simultaneously highlight multiple factors.
- Switch Marker View: Single-click a different factor chip to view its marker genes without changing the map highlight (unless double-clicked).
- Clear Highlight: Click the highlighted factor chip again or use the Mute button to clear the selection.
