Explore Read-to-Use Datasets

The Dataset Catalog is the central hub for discovering and accessing all available spatial omics datasets in CartoScope. Whether you are looking for specific tissues, diseases, or technologies, the catalog provides powerful filtering, searching, and sorting tools to help you find the right data.

Functionality

The Dataset Catalog enables you to:

  • Access Individual Datasets: Browse detailed lists or cards for every available dataset.
  • Launch Visualization: Open any dataset directly in the CartoScope viewer for interactive exploration.
  • Compare Metadata: View detailed attributes like tissue, disease, and platform side-by-side.
  • Manage Favorites: Save interesting datasets for quick access later.

Interface

The catalog offers two viewing modes to help you browse datasets: Gallery View (default) and Table View. You can switch between these modes using the toggle buttons in the top-right corner.

Header Controls

From left to right:

  • Favorites Only: Toggle to show only datasets you have marked as favorites.
  • Sort: Change the order of datasets. Options include: Recently Updated (Default), Oldest Updated, Name (A-Z), Name (Z-A).
  • Shuffle: Randomize the order of datasets to discover new content.
  • View Toggle: Switch between Gallery View and Table View.

Favorites Only

"Favorites Only" requires login. If you are not logged in or a new user, please follow the instructions in "How to Create a New Account".

In Gallery View, each dataset is displayed as a card featuring a visual preview and key metadata.

Dataset Card

Each card includes:

  1. Thumbnail: A preview image of the dataset.
  2. Title: The name of the dataset. Hover over the title to see the full name if truncated.
  3. Tags: Key attributes such as Tissue, Disease, Platform, and Organism.
  4. Footer Info:
    • Source: The origin of the dataset.
    • Updated: The date of the last update.
