What are Layer Types?¶
In CartoScope, a layer type identifies the overall category of a layer.
The current layer types include:
- Background: Background layers provide spatial context, such as histology or staining images.
- Gene: Gene layers show the spatial distribution of one gene.
- Gene Group: Gene Group layers combine multiple genes into a single layer.
- Factor: Factor layers show analytical results, such as factor analysis outputs or cell-based results.
- ROI: ROI layers represent user-defined Regions of Interest used for selection, comparison, and export.
