What Is Factor Weight?¶
Factor Weight: The contribution of a factor to the sample overall. It is calculated as the fraction of the sample's total signal (transcripts, pixels, or cells, depending on the layer mode) that ends up assigned to that factor.
A factor with a high weight is a dominant pattern across the whole tissue; a factor with a low weight is rare or localized.
Where can you see the factor weight?
- Overview Table: The Weight column in the Factor Drawer's overview table.
- Factor Summary Chips: Hovering over a factor chip in the Factor Chip Grid shows a popover with its weight.
