Explore Collections

The Collection Catalog allows you to browse datasets grouped by key biological or technical attributes (such as species, tissue, disease, or technology platform), or datasets that were analyzed together using the multi-sample analysis strategy.

Interface

The Collection Catalog is composed of a main table and a left filtering panel.

1. Collection Table

Click on any collection row or name to view its datasets or launch a session.

  • Collection Details:

    • Collection Name: The name of the collection.
    • Collection Description: Hover over the name to view a detailed description if available.
    • Link: Click the link icon () to copy a direct link to this specific collection.
    • Launch: For multi-sample analysis collections, click the rocket launch icon () to launch the multi-sample session.

  • Metadata Columns:

    • N: Number of datasets in the collection.
    • Tissues: Tissues included in the collection. Hover to see the full list if truncated.
    • Disease: Diseases or conditions included.
    • Platforms: Technologies used (e.g., Visium HD, Xenium, Seq-Scope).
    • Organism: Species included.
    • Updated: The date the collection was last updated.

Actions

Sorting: Click on any column header to sort the list by that attribute (e.g., by Name, Number of Datasets, or Updated Date).

2.Filtering Panel

Use the left sidebar to filter collections by study requirements:

  • Search: Type in the search box to find collections by name, description, or metadata.

  • Specials:

    • Multi-sample analysis collections: Filter only multi-sample analysis collections.

  • Filters:

    • Categories: Filter by specific Tissues, Diseases, Platforms, or Organisms.
    • N Datasets: Filter collections by the number of datasets they contain (Min / Max).
    • Date Range: Filter collections by their update date (From / To).

Actions

Toggle Filters: Click the "Show filters" / "Hide filters" button to expand or collapse the left sidebar filter panel.

Use a Collection

Once you identify a collection of interest, you can:

  • browse datasets by clicking on its name;
  • launch a multi-sample session by clicking on the rocket launch icon ();
  • copy a link to the collection by clicking on the link icon ().
