How to Link Sample Views

Multi-Sample Session Specific

This feature is only available in multi-sample sessions.

This guide explains how to select a subset of sample slots (or all slots) in a multi-sample workspace and create a Linked View to synchronize panning and zooming across them.

1. Select the Target Slots

Before linking views, select the specific sample slots you want to synchronize:

  • Select Specific Slots: Hold Cmd (on Mac) or Ctrl (on Windows) and click the canvas of each slot you want to link. The selected slot headers and borders will highlight.
  • Select All Slots: Click the Select All Slots button in the floating Map Toolkit sidebar (second group from top).
  1. Locate the Slot Selection & Grouping Board in the floating Map Toolkit sidebar (second button group from top).
  2. Click the Link / Unlink Selected Views button ().
  3. The selected slots will be assigned a shared Link Group color badge at their top-left header bar.

3. Navigate Synchronized Viewports

Pan or zoom inside any of the linked slots:

  • Panning the map canvas in one linked slot automatically pans all other slots in the same link group.
  • Zooming in or out in one linked slot updates the zoom level and viewport extent across all linked slots.

To remove viewport synchronization:

  1. Select the linked slots by holding Cmd / Ctrl and clicking them (or click Select All Slots).
  2. Click the Link / Unlink Selected Views button again.
  3. The color badge will be removed, and slots will return to independent navigation.
