Edit Multi-Sample Session

The Edit Multi-Sample Session Dialog allows you to dynamically modify grid layout dimensions, re-order sample slots, rename session titles, and manage session settings while working in a multi-sample workspace.

Interface

Access the dialog by clicking the Grid Layout Editor icon in the top header bar or map toolbar.

1. Layout & Grid Controls

At the top of the panel, customize global grid settings:

Grid Controls

• Session Title: Edit the human-readable name of your active multi-sample study.
• Grid Dimensions (N × M): Adjust the number of Rows and Columns to reconfigure the grid layout.
• Layout Order Direction: Switch between Row-first and Column-first slot ordering.
• Load Background ROI Layers: Toggle whether background histology images and ROI annotations are preloaded across grid viewports.

2. Slot Management & Session YAML

In the slot list below, manage individual slide placements:

Slot Actions

• Slot Index Positioning: Change the row and column index assigned to individual sample slots.
• Swap Positions: Swap slide assignments between any two slots.
• Replace / Remove URL: Update or remove specific dataset URLs from the session layout.
• Session YAML Export: View, copy, or export the session layout configuration as a YAML file.
